Confidentiality Agreement

What is this agreement

A Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) is a legal contract similar to and often used interchangeably with the term Confidentiality Agreement. Like a Confidentiality Agreement, an NDA is used when sensitive information needs to be shared between two parties. It ensures that the person or organisation who gains access to sensitive information doesn’t disclose it to a third party.

This NDA is based on the standard one way NDA developed by the Australian Government Intellectual Property Office Online NDA Generator. This government office is responsible for overseeing IP rights and laws in Australia.

We have chosen to use this NDA to maximise transparency and trust in our security and confidentiality processes. It is an Australian relevant contract developed by a neutral authoritative party (not a lawyer employed by us). We have added some detail about our particular infrastructure and system e.g. use of Australian based servers, encryption etc. We are happy to review and sign alternative agreements.
