Transcriptionist pay rates

Although Transcript Divas base our transcriber pay against the United States market, due to the fact we demand a lot higher quality than any other service in Australia, we pay well above the average transcriptionist rate.

The graph below details what might be an expected hourly wage for a trained  medical transcriber working in the United States.

Unlike a general transcriber most medical transcriptionists undergo a specialist training course often leading to a diploma in medical transcription.

It is expected that for general transcription work that the average hourly wage would probably be between the hourly rate for a medical transcriptionist and a data entry clerk (ie. US$12/hr approx.).
